I finally decided how I was going to do my 365 Project, I found a 400 picture album at Michaels that holds 4 x 6 prints --- so I can do a LO for the month, each day, and a monthly recap LO, and have room left for 11 special LO's like birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. I got a couple of LO's done today.

These are some of our outside holiday decorations, we are taking them down today before the forecasted freezing rain arrives today. The red bells on the posts, and the blue and silver balls on the bushes were new this year. We picked up some larger blue ornaments today at Walmart really cheap to hang them from the porch next year.

We finally spent the holidays with my husbands family and got this great family portrait.

365 Project

Okay I'm hoping that if I put it in writing I'll do it - LOL - we'll see!!! There are several places that are running the 365 project which is roughly to take a picture everyday nothing fancy just the everyday things you love things that make you happy things you do everyday. On January 1st we had our family reunion which is always fun, we get to see family members that we don't usually get to see very often. We watched the winter classic hockey game here in Wrigley field the Hawks against Red Wings, and played bowling on our new Wii system.

I've got a great add-on for my popular Block-a-bets kit.

This is a collection of descriptive words, and fun alphabets. Each word and alphabet is easily recolored, texturized, or you can add patterns to fit any layout you need. These work great with my Block-a-bet Templates or any kind of ABC books.

Please note that each letter block is on its own png file. You must be able to use a tool like the marquee or lasso tool to select the item you need off of the png file. There are no individule files.

Do you have Groupies, everyone should have Groupies - LOL!!

This is a collection of grouped frames in 7 different shapes. Each shape is found in four different styles. A gorgeous, slightly brushed silver finish, a greyish black pitted metal finish, and a set of double stitches. The fourth set is called the base set which can be adapted to fit any color scheme that you need, you can recolor, or mask with any paper, or texture you have. You can use it with a layer style, or change the bevel size. The base set is very versatile, and the stitches fit perfectly over the base. This kit includes 7 shapes circles, squares, stars, stamps, diamonds, ovals, and flowers. Each type can be used vertically or horizontally also!!

2 layouts per kit
to be posted at Digiscrap Boutique and 3Scrapateers (I sell at both) and at least 1 other gallery of your choice - more is ALWAYS welcome!
Minimum 1 kit per month with a maximum of 3 kits per month.

I've been thinking about getting myself a creative team, I'll be posting about it tomorrow, but I wanted to get the idea out so people could start thinking about joining my team. Take a look at my stores, and see if you may want to get those kits for free! Well you have to do a little work - LOL! Also if you are doing the challenges at digiscrap boutique to get the Charisma Kit remember the Color challenge and the Heritage Challenge will be ending in less than a week. The All About Me Challenge, and Lyric Challenge will continue until October 15th.

I've completed the Challenge Kit for October and it's really cute, a hint - think Halloween!

I've been getting some great responses for this kit, I'm currently torn between 3 names - LOL - and one of them was given twice! I am stumped for a name, so while I am creating the elements to go with this kit I'm hoping someone will figure out a great name for this kit. I've been quite busy this week - the next big designer contest ended, and I'm sad to say I was not picked - oh well! Maybe next time!! What I had been working on was this kit - quite fun, and bold. I have been wanting to do a all about me album, and when I saw Teriann Hanks Alphabet soup kit I thought this would be perfect to get an album done - these templates are so quick and easy to do - I love em!! I used my Be Free kit for the papers.

I called this kit Charm-a-LOT, because there is a LOT!! There are 73 elements included in this kit! You will find enameled charms, charms that are blank to be filled with your own colors or patterns, embroidered patches, enamel & embroidered titles. Yea! I made it to round 2 of the goDigitalScrapbooking "Next Big Designer", the next challenge is to make a heritage kit. I've been wanting to do a heritage kit for a long time so this is great, I also did a LO already with this kit! It is a picture of my grandmother Elizabeth when she was 16 years old. I named the kit after my grandma she was also very creative and crafty, I guess that's where I get it from!!

Getting back to normal

Well the past month at work has been challenging to say the least. After I came back from being sick we had to clean the store from top to bottom and I mean CLEAN, they were extremely fanatical (real word?) about it being perfect. Well it did pay off we passed and now get more hours for the store which means easier to keep up - yeah!! Then right after that we had to get ready for inventory which was this past Monday, it all seemed to go well, we will find out the results in a couple of weeks. So now I can officially stop and take a breath - whew!! So now it's time to get back to normal - whatever that is - maybe I'll get some scrapping done! Probably not, Jeremy's baseball season will be starting up real soon, so here I go again!!!

Sick Sick Sick

Well the past week has been quite the adventure to say the least. It started out innocently enough on Friday, the 5th of January, Dave and I had the day off so we decided to take down the Xmas decorations. It went well it was all down by about 2pm, and most of it was put up in the attic. At 4 we decided to go out to return the last of the Xmas presents, during the first stop my back started hurting, I figured I pulled a muscle in my back lifting the heavy decorations into the attic. So onward we went, I then started getting the chills, it was only around 50 out and I only had a sweater on so I thought - just underdressed, should have worn a coat. On the way home stopped for fried chicken for dinner, just not up to cooking. I had no appetite, didn't even finish 1 piece of chicken. I must be getting that flu that everyone seems to be getting. So the weekend begins, fevers, chills, vomit, repeat. My fever got to 103 on Saturday, 103.5 on Sunday, so Monday morning when it was already 102.5, I figured I better go to the doctor. I hadn't drank or eaten much at all over the weekend. I got to the doctor around 3pm, they finally fit me in. They gave me a antibiotic pill, and a shot for nausesousness. Then they sent me off on a 3 night 4 day stay at Club Le Hospital!. I was dehydrated and felt like my insides wanted to leave my body. I spent the time getting IV fluids, and tests galore. My favorite part was the vampires coming at 5:30 am to draw blood. So after 3 ultrasounds, and 1 CAT scan, the diagnosis - Kidney Infection - aarrgh!! OMG I have NEVER felt sicker in my life. So they sent me home with a very strong antibiotic, and told to drink tons of water. I've been home since 11 pm Thursday night, I have gotten a couple of good nights of sleep, and am finally starting to get my energy back. I still think it will be awhile before I am full strength, but I feel 1000 times better than I did at this time last week. I wouldn't even wish that on my enemies (if I had some - LOL). Well I'm sure that more info then you wanted to know, but if you can learn anything from this don't wait too long to go to the doctor when your sick! I know I won't ever again.!

Well the new store that I will be selling at will be opening hopefully over the weekend, I've been busy as a bee trying to get some kits done for the grand opening. Here is a preview of the first kit I finished just had to show it off!
